Though Alliance Boots was already 18 months into a major IT transformation programme, there was some concern amongst the leadership team that their people and stakeholders outside of IT were struggling to see the value of the programme or understand what it might mean for them in the long term.
Working closely with the IT leadership team, we developed an initial draft of the transformation story to test through in-depth interviews with the major stakeholders.
With feedback from this we developed a communication strategy that integrated the story more effectively into day to day communications. It included a formal launch at the IT conference and an engagement strategy for all stakeholders. We also gave guidance on the optimal communication team structure and skills requirements to support the change.
