I am an accredited practitioner providing both short-term counselling and long-term psychotherapy in Brockenhurst in the New Forest.
I work with a wide range of issues common to people seeking therapy such as depression, low self esteem and bereavement for example. I also have two areas of special interest – firstly, I work with people living with long-term or life-limiting health conditions (e.g. cancer, chronic pain) and their friends and families and secondly I support those struggling with work-related issues such as stress, anxiety, bullying, career pressures and work-life balance.
I work part-time as a counsellor and group facilitator with Oakhaven Hospice where I support individuals and families coming to terms with life-limiting or terminal illness. My experience also includes working for the mental health charity Mind and running a telephone-based counselling service for an EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) provider. I also spent several years supporting those affected by a cancer diagnosis at The Mulberry Centre, West Middlesex Hospital and Maggie’s Centre in Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith.
